After getting through the initial hurdles of starting my podcast, the next challenge was finding my voice and building an audience.
Developing a Unique Voice
In the beginning, I wasn’t entirely sure how I wanted to come across. I knew I wanted the podcast to be informative and engaging, but authenticity was key. Over time, I found that a conversational, unscripted style worked best. Listeners resonated with my personal experiences, so I made those a bigger part of my storytelling.
Building an Audience
Growing a podcast audience from scratch was no easy feat. I leveraged social media, networking, and SEO strategies to increase discoverability. Engaging with my audience through a newsletter and direct interactions also played a major role in fostering community around my podcast.
